The first time I met Eevil Stöö was in late 2003, not much after he started making music under that name. He, too, falls into the rap artist category.

Thanks to Steen1, I managed to lower my defensive attitude toward Finnish rap and actually found a handful of artists in that genre worth listening to. Eevil Stöö being one of them.

When performing he uses a ski mask and a voice changer, which makes his rapping sound almost slowed down a bit. You know, Memphis-style rap, if that rings a bell. Eevil Stöö raps about his artist persona and his adventures as a low-life crook doing petty crime and smoking weed. Pure fiction, and funny as hell. So basically, I’m not even sure if I’m a fan of the persona or the person behind it. Or both.
