W.A.S.P. is a shock rock (or hard rock, if you will) band from USA. It is led by Blackie Lawless, the mastermind and the founder of the band. Their debut, self-titled album was released in 1984.
My crew mate Rosk got W.A.S.P. on cassette, and I copied it from him. I loved it so much I begged my mom to buy it on vinyl. Luckily (for me), she did. I consider the debut album and Kill Fuck Die (1997) to be their best by far, but I also love The Headless Children (1989) and The Crimson Idol (1992).
I didn’t paint any W.A.S.P. graffiti before I got my hands on Kill Fuck Die, which is their heaviest and darkest album. It made a huge impact on me when it came out. So I wanted to paint a few pieces based on it. Just to find out that Wasp became one of many additions to my alternative tags. Since I painted it regularly as a tag, there are way more Wasp pieces than I’ll ever publish on this website. But a few selected ones are pretty much mandatory. Here’s the first — from the current millennium. 2012, to be exact.
